In late 2018, I partnered with a newly formed local startup as a volunteer to help establish its digital presence. The organization, founded in October 2018, focuses on supporting other nonprofits and community groups in the local area.

My role and commitment

I was approached by a member of the organization to assist the founder with all aspects of their online footprint. I committed to a one-year, pro bono engagement in which I would plan, build, and manage their digital ecosystem. This engagement ran from October 2018 through October 2019.

What I did

Over the course of that year, I:

• Designed and developed a new website from the ground up, aligned with the organization’s mission and audience.

• Provided hosting and ongoing technical maintenance to ensure stability and reliability.

• Managed all digital channels, including social media, to help increase visibility and engagement in the local community.

Outcome

By the end of the engagement, the organization had a solid, professional online presence that better reflected the quality of its mission-driven work. My contribution helped them communicate more clearly with partner organizations and positioned them to continue growing their impact in the local area.
